Good for Spanish, some small issues

I bought the 12-month subscription for Apprendre l'espagnol a few weeks ago. The immersion method is pretty effective for picking up basics. My only real gripe was the TruAccent pronunciation feature felt a bit finicky sometimes, even when I knew I was saying it right. Delivery was instant since it's digital, which is great. Overall good value.

Reliable language learning

This was my third time getting an abonnement 12 mois from them, this time for Apprendre l'italien. I had done Apprendre le français and Apprendre l'allemand before. Consistency is key with Rosetta Stone. The interface hasn't changed much, which I appreciate, no relearning where things are. It always works well on my tablet for offline learning too. Customer service is quick if you have a question, but I rarely need them. It's just a solid platform for language study.

Hey guys, thinking about getting Rosetta Stone for French. Is it really worth the price tag compared to something like Duolingo or Busuu? I heard it's more immersive but not sure if it justifies the cost.

I used it for Spanish and it's definitely different from Duolingo. Less gamified, more like, actual learning. The immersion method works for some, but it can feel a bit slow at times. I did like the TruAccent speech recognition though, really helped with pronunciation.

Yeah, it's a different beast. Duolingo is good for starting and keeping motivated with streaks. RS feels more structured, almost like a classroom. You can often find lifetime subscriptions on sale, especially around Black Friday or January. That's when it feels more 'worth it' to me.
